About Devraha Baba:
Shri Devraha Baba was revered as an Ashtanga Siddha Mahayogi of India, whose life and spiritual glory inspired countless seekers across generations. Known for his profound yogic realization and deep compassion for all beings, Baba lived a life of extreme simplicity, renunciation, and uninterrupted devotion. He was widely regarded as a master of advanced yogic disciplines, including Khechari Mudra and the practices of Ashtanga Yoga, through which he maintained extraordinary physical and spiritual vitality. Many devotees and scholars considered his age a mystery, reflecting the timeless aura surrounding his presence. Throughout his life, Shri Devraha Baba resided on a simple wooden platform elevated above the ground, often on the sacred banks of India’s holy rivers. From approximately 1850 to 1990, he regularly blessed devotees at major pilgrimage centers such as Prayag, Vrindavan, Haridwar, Chitrakoot, and other holy places. Devotees from all walks of life—including national leaders, saints, and ordinary seekers—came in large numbers to receive his darshan and guidance. His core message emphasized love for all beings, devotion to God, disciplined spiritual practice, and compassionate living. On June 19, 1990 (Yogini Ekadashi), Shri Devraha Baba entered Mahasamadhi, leaving behind a living legacy of silence, service, and spiritual awakening that continues to guide seekers worldwide.
Successor: Devdasji (Bade Sarkar)
Devdasji (Bade Sarkar) is regarded as one of the prominent spiritual successors in the lineage of Devraha Baba, carrying forward the tradition through discipline, devotion, and simplicity rather than public prominence. Revered by devotees as Bade Sarkar, Devdasji embodied the core values exemplified by Devraha Baba—renunciation, humility, prayerful living, and service to humanity. His life reflected continuity of the spiritual path not through formal institutions or titles, but through lived practice and inner authority. Devdasji’s role as a successor was expressed through guidance, blessings, and the quiet preservation of the Guru’s way of life. He emphasized faith, surrender to the Divine, and moral discipline, inspiring seekers to live spiritually grounded lives while remaining engaged with the world.
In keeping with the tradition of the lineage, Devdasji did not seek fame or organizational control. His legacy continues through the lives of devotees and spiritual centers that uphold the principles of silence, devotion, and selfless service taught by Devraha Baba.
